As we celebrated Global Meetings Industry Day yesterday with colleagues from around the world, SAACI celebrates the work of the many conference and meetings professionals involved in the production of creating meaningful and impactful face-to-face and online experiences. We all want to return to work and we all want to make new experiences and meet in-person in a safe and responsible manner.
This week also saw movement from our partner associations in considering litigation with government, to find a solution to the current restrictions that have led to stringent limitations for our industry to operate in.
The SAACI Board will meet and consider the role that SAACI will play on behalf of members. We await further detail from our partners and will communicate SAACI’s position. While our work with our partner associations will continue along with the work, we are doing in various government working streams, we will continue to provide our members with the updates.
We also welcomed the announced by the MPI in establishing an Africa Club Project for professionals in Africa. More information on how to join is found below.
