SAACI CEO Glenton de Kock will be speaking at the event, sharing his insights on how South Africa’s hospitality and tourism industries can unlock significant opportunities for growth.
The conference will focus on the “business of restaurants”, exploring strategies to enhance the culinary sector and leverage gastronomy tourism for the benefit of all hospitality stakeholders.
Day one will feature South Africa’s top executive chefs, restaurant owners, and culinary leaders discussing innovative business ideas and solutions, growth strategies, as well as the latest technology, products, services, and culinary trends that promote creativity and sustainability in professional kitchens.
Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, on 25 November, honouring individuals and companies making outstanding strides in promoting South Africa as a gastronomy tourism hotspot.
Day two will feature an opening address by Minister of Tourism Patricia de Lille, who will set the tone for a dynamic workshop aimed at developing a concrete plan to unlock South Africa’s gastronomy tourism potential. A key objective of this plan is to create mutual benefits for both the culinary and tourism sectors, fostering growth and collaboration.
