The commencement of June always signals a month of celebration of the role this country’s youth play in our society.
Over the past few months, our industry has spoken about the need of skills development and how important it is to build the next generation.
The work of your Association, as was shared, will see the establishment of a shadow Youth Board that we will announce at the Annual National Congress in August 2022.
Once upon a time, we were all young, eager and needed experience to navigate what is at times a complex industry. For this reason, we call on members, to use this month to reach out and offer help to students who desperately need on-the-job training, internships, or graduate employment opportunities.
When we were young, we all aspired to great employment opportunities, but we needed someone to lend a helping hand.
Let us lend a hand this Youth Month In our country and for the future of our beloved industry.
