With the National Budget speech delivered earlier this week, it brought along with it plenty of goodwill, satisfaction, and in some ways relief.
We may not all be happy with some of the nuggets in the detail of the budget speech delivered, but we have some opportunities to maintain stability, while we all forge ahead in our work for 2022.
SAACI welcomes the individual and company specific relief outlined in the budget speech, however we do raise a concern that there must be a focused intent on our holistic Tourism, Business Events and Hospitality sectors that acts as a catalyst for members and the wider eco system of our industry.
Our work of lobbying for greater financial support for our sector is not done.
As we make the final arrangements and prepare for MEETINGS AFRICA 2022, let us commit to engage robustly as we meet in-person at this iconic industry trade fair.
We need to continue to remain vigilant as we look to rebuild our sector.We have to embrace what lies ahead and allow ourselves to find the collaborative opportunities within our continent.
