Through collaboration and a partnership with the South Africa National Convention Bureau (SANCB), the Association was able to deliver this year’s hybrid National Annual General Meeting at the start of the week. Indeed, a privilege to have members attend in-person.
The wonderful interaction we had around the country, while also having some members join virtually, clearly demonstrated that we still have work to do in getting the industry moving.
We will continue to urge all not to let your guard down when hosting business events. The protocol needs to be kept and managed by all, including attendees.
With several business events happening this past week around the country, it is pleasing to experience these as many have kept their social media platforms alive with updates and content. The coming weeks will see the country host the IATF – Intra-African Trade Fair 2021, which would be the 1st major international trade exhibition that South Africa has hosted since early 2020.
While looking forward to the engagement that will take place at IATF, we will all be following how it’s all run and managed within the protocols set for exhibitions.
We know that each individual involved is working around the clock to make this a memorable experience, but also to ensure that we don’t let our guard down, as we need to continue the momentum into the 1st quarter of 2022.
