TravelPeople is a B2B specialist, focused on connecting the inbound tourism industry with South Africa, Southern African and Indian Ocean Island Suppliers (incl. accommodation providers, conference venues, tourist attractions, destinations etc.). We organize and facilitate in-person Connections (workshops) in major cities around South Africa, connecting Suppliers with the tourism trade as well as direct corporate buyers. Over the years these Connections have included theme specific Connections such as MICE, Things to Do & See and First Class Africa. TravelPeople has also partnered with Wesgro and the SA Wine Routes Forum and successfully run Wine Tourism Workshops. In addition, TravelPeople also provide an online platform (website) where Suppliers share information with the trade about their rates, special deals as well as product and contact information. Job listings are free to anyone in the tourism/hospitality sector. Updates are shared with our mailing list of subscribed readers in the form of a bi-monthly newsletter.

Esti Venske is a senior lecturer and programme coordinator for the Advanced Diploma in Event Management in the Department of Tourism and Event Management at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Glenton had refined his public and private sector strategic management skills during his tenure as MD of Tourism Buffalo City, as CEO of Nelson Mandela Bay and as CEO of the ECPTA. The Young Achiever of the Year Award is an acknowledgement of a minimum of 3 years’ service to SAACI.
