For the first time, this year’s events will include men’s tournaments, expanding the competition that previously featured only women’s events.

The two weeks of back-to-back tournaments will now be combined men’s and women’s events, each offering a $15 000 prize pool – amounting to a total prize purse of $60 000 across the two weeks.

These events present a great opportunity for South Africa’s rising tennis stars to compete against international professionals, earn valuable ranking points and contend for prize money.

With these additions, South Africa now boasts a total of seven weeks of international professional tournaments for both women and men, including other events hosted in partnership with Curro Holdings.

As part of the ITF World Tennis Tour, the WIPHOLD Internationals serve as an important stepping stone from junior tennis to the elite professional circuit. The events will attract a diverse mix of South Africa’s top junior players, emerging local professionals, and international talent from across Africa and beyond, ensuring high-quality competition.
