Enkulu Awards
Each year we recognise deserving members for their outstanding contributions in specific categories, honouring their dedicated service to the Meetings and Events Industry as a whole.
We kindly request that you take a moment to review your fellow members and submit your nominations.
The Godfrey King Integrity Award recognises SAACI member companies that demonstrate a strong dedication to producing exceptional work and serving their members with a commitment to quality performance. These companies exhibit a positive attitude and consistently invest significant time and effort to overcome challenges in order to deliver outstanding work as a SAACI member.
The criteria for this award include:
- Consistently exceeding the responsibilities of their role
- Providing exceptional service consistently
- Achieving accomplishments that surpass goals and expectations
- Taking proactive measures to prevent operational issues in their region
- Aligning goals with the strategic direction of their region.
Criteria:
The award recognizes a business that has made an extraordinary social, cultural or environmental impact in their region.
- The business must be a member in good standing.
- The business’ corporate culture reflects an emphasis on community involvement and/or volunteerism.
- The business partners with or supports not-for-profit organizations, charities, or other community efforts with a financial and/or time commitment.
- New and innovative approaches/initiatives are used to benefit the community.
- No business may be eligible for award in consecutive years.
Criteria:
This award honours staff members who are dedicated to guiding and assisting students within the Business Tourism / Events industry. They surpass the duties of their job description to meet students’ needs, serving as role models who always display a positive and professional image.
- Invests extra effort in satisfying student needs and expectations.
- Identifies and leverages opportunities that support students’ academic, personal, social, and cultural needs.
- Contributes to student learning, demonstrating exemplary initiative in offering students a personally and/or intellectually rewarding curricular and/or extracurricular learning experience.
- Involves students in campus life beyond the classroom to emphasize their value as members of the university/campus community.
- Creates an inclusive student environment that embraces diversity and mutual respect.
- Develops innovative systems and processes that significantly enhance the student experience.
Criteria:
To promote the industry to young professionals. Nominees must be younger than 35 years of age.
The nomination must consist of a motivation of the outstanding achievements of the nominee under the following headings:
- Industry Achievement on Projects / equivalent tasks.
- Post matriculation educational achievements.
- Recognition such as awards received.
- Contribution to sustainable (social, economic, and environmental) development.
- Papers and presentations delivered.
- Community involvement and social responsibilities.
- Leadership ability of the nominee and his/her contribution to building the image of their employer and the industry in general.
Criteria:
The Diversity in Business Awards cover excellence in all areas of diversity, including age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race and religion, as well as highlighting diverse organizations and individuals across a wide variety of industries.
The nominated business must provide:
- Evidence of encouraging inclusive participation and eliminating discrimination
- Evidence of the impact of work/initiative on promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Commitment to the values of equality, diversity, and inclusion beyond the expectations of their business.
- Examples of innovation in response to an equality and diversity issue.
